I think I may have been infected with herpes 4 weeks ago. When would I be able to test positive in an STD test?

Last night i borrowed a friend’s lipstick who has the herpes virus but she did not have a visible cold sore. Over night she developed a cold sore, is there a risk i will have contracted the virus from using her lipstick as only a few hours later her cold sore appearred? And if so will i develop a cold sore straight away?

Ok ^^, my friend is always getting cold sores around her lips, not heaps lol jst a little.but they come and go and she hasnt had sex yet either and i want to know if their herpes??

how long does it take for the first outbreak to appear after you are first infected with herpes (below the belt)
i have oral herpes (well cold sores) and my boyfriend kissed me (sore was almost healed) and gave me oral. can i have below the belt herpes now?? if so is that chance high or low?

My brother in law has herpes type 2. And he is not very clean with himself at all. Like not to be gross but he showers maybe once a week. Its disguisting. But anyways my son has never been around him and my husband keeps insisting that he needs to meet him. But Im worried. Can it be passed on by hands or mouth or whatever. I know its typically only sexually tranmitted but I just wanted to check. Thanks !

so basically…. i am a virgin and I asked my boyfriend ( who HAS had sex) to get tested…. he told me that the test came out positive for herpes the nurse said that he had Had herpes .. but they don’t know if it was type 1 or 2…. I have not had sex with him. he has gone down on me but i havn’t on him (I was waiting for test results…) is it possible that I have herpes. everyone tells me i have nothing to worry about…. that it is probably the cold sore type because him and I both don’t have any signs or symptoms but i’m scared…… he got another test done and should know in three days. what are the odds of me getting or having it. can you have herpes with no symptoms?
