Would Having HSV2 (genital herpes) make a solider non-deployable? like to Iraq or Afghanistan?

i’am kinda upset…but i guess it is what it is…but i have alot of questions though cuz i never got anything like this b4…i don’t have any open pussing sores or any sores that hurt at all outside or in my mouth…i do have this swelling in my lower lip…thats been there for 2weeks now..its not a big swelling..u cant really tell i have a swelling…only i can tell cuz its my body…and i notice any little thing thats different…but before that swelling started…there was two little white areas there (they werent circular or round white spots…they had a weird shape to them)..but it only kind of stung when i pressed my lips together..other than that..it never hurt, pussed up, dried or anything…now those two little white areas disappeared and thats when the swelling started..like i said..its a very small swelling….can herpes 1 come in all shapes and sizes and different forms? when i think herpe, i think cold sores that hurt and puss and dry up..and if i have hsv 1 and i have no sores outside of my mouth, can i kiss anybody with my lips shut (like a peck, no salivia involved) on the cheek or lips (no frenching or opening of the mouth, just lips a little puckered) without giving them hsv 1? how bout sharing frm the same cup or bottle water or utensils? is hsv 1 virus always in the saliva in your mouth, even if u have no kind of open sores or any sores at all? is that why its soo highly contagious? i thought if there were no open sores or no kind of sores at all..the chances of giving it to someone else were small…and if it is contagious with no kind of sore anywhere..then would it be because of hsv 1 always being in the saliva? sorry guys, i have a million questions..i just want to hear yall’s input because like i said this is all new to me…and i dont want to give it to any of my love ones…oh and another question..my doctor prescribed me some medication which i still have to pick up frm the pharmacy…its some topical to put on my herpe (but i dont have any sores that r bothering me, just a little swelling) and she gave me something just in case i have an outbreak..( i forgot what its called, but i dont think its valtrex)…can i have hsv 1 and not take anything at all and be ok? i dont like taking medicine. i will take it if i have an episode…but i haven’t had one yet so i wont take anything unless that happens..thanx for your answers..iam sure i have a million more questions to ask….

My partner has HSV2. I do not, since we last got tested. But i am aware that it is a possiblity, i will contract it from him.
Last night, we were watching TV. We were watching HOUSE. Anyways, part of the TV show was about this wife that contracted Genital Herpes, from her husband, and how angry she was… blah blah blah.
My bf, grabed on to my hand and started sqeezing it, as if to say I am sorry. I don’t feel as if he should be sorry, it isn’t like he asked for this virus.
I know that it is just a TV show. But i am well aware that in real life this is how it is as well.
Is anyone else SICK of the Herpes Stigma????

Is it possible to be asymptomatically infected with hsv for one year+ only to have a first outbreak (very bad outbreak, textbook 1st) years after initial infection and from then on have semi-frequent outbreaks? Or is it more likely that initial infection came 2-10 days before first outbreak as most pamphlets say. My doctor said it can lay dormant for long periods of time (which I am aware of), but it seems unlikely to me that a person could be asymptomatic for such a long period of time only to turn symptomatic later. My doctor doesn’t seem that informed, and I really don’t like her enough to have a thorough discussion. (Yes I know I should find a new doctor, I will eventually) Anyone know? Opinions? Thoughts? Thanks!
Also I am aware that it could have been symptomatic only with mild symptoms which were thought something else. However how likely is it that a persons symptoms would just change from being so mild that its unnoticeable or completely asymptomatic?

ok i was diagnosed with hsv2 in september and since the initial outbreak i have had 2 more. the initial was horrible and the second lasted forever. this past one was unbelievable. it came and went in a matter of 4 days. i am unable to get the medication to prevent outbreak my dr refuses to write the prescription again. but i used aveeno anti itch cream and apple cider vinegar this last outbreak and its gone 4 days later. any other remedies like this to prevent outbreaks?
i have HSV2 for over 7 years, neither my husband or son, who was delivered vaginally has ever showed any signs or symptoms. i am not going through a divorce, how likely is it that i can still spread the virus to a new partner? My husband gets fever blisters on his lips, could i have gotten HSV2 from him?
I told my boyfriend as soon as I found out so that he can be tested. I told him about the symptoms, and he told me that he experienced some of the symptoms last week. Does this mean that he could have given it to me? I didn’t have symptoms until about 4 days ago. We have been together for 3 months, and I have only been with him. He tells me that he’s only been with me, but from what I’ve read, symptoms appear 2-12 days after infection, so does that mean that he cheated on me and got it and then gave it to me? If that is what happened, our relationship is over. Or could one of us have had it for a while and it is just now showing up? This is my very first outbreak, and I’ve always had normal STD test results in the past.
Since my diagnoses of HSV2 i had no outbreaks, the person i was intimate with had a test done, and it was false positive, he had another test done recently…and everything came out negative, he does’t have it. The question was since i don’t have any signs and symtoms can it be inside of the vagina in my case?
And we want to continue being intimate, but he is scared to, since he has kidney transplant….want to know is there any safe way for us to be intimate with each other without me jeopardizing his health?
Ok, im EXTREMELY confused here. About a month and a half ago i had unprotected sex with my partner. 5 days after that i had a really bad outbreak so i immediately figured it was herpes. So i went to the doctor and the doctor said i was positive for HSV2. So when i told my partner he completely denied that it was him and a week after he claimed that he tested himself and that the results came back negative. Till this day he still claims that he is 100% clean. So i decided 2 take a blood test to find out for how long i had it for. When the tests came back my doc said that its kind of hard to tell for how long ive had it for. So now im even more confused because i dont know if my partner gave it to me or if i gave it to him or if he is even infected at all. So is it posible that i may had had it before and my partner didnt catch it? or does it seem like it was him that gave it to me and hes lying about not having it?
