I have not yet been tested for herpes but I have the symptoms of an itchy, red genital rash that I first noticed a month and a half ago. The rash still has not gone away, and still itches even though it has gotten better and worse at times. I’ve never heard of a herpes outbreak lasting this long. Any ideas or advice?

herpes isn’t itchy once the sores appear and it doesn’t last that long. there are many other bacterias that cause rashes like that (syph is an infamous one) def go to the doc cuz it needs to be treated or it can get bad…even if the rash appears to go away.

I have genital herpes and I’ve never had an outbreak last more than around a week or a week and a half at the longest.
It sounds like it could be some type of yeast or something.
You need to see your doctor and get some medication since it is not clearing up and it has been so many weeks.
