I have these sores on my vulva resembling herpes. They itch really badly, and when they go away they bleed and scab over. This happens every 3-4 weeks and lasts a week or so. I’m eighteen years old and this just started happening a few months ago. I’m a virgin and I’m not sexually active and I know that’s how most herpes is transmitted. What could it be?

There really is no way of saying what it could be without seeing it. from your description, it could be several things. That being said, herpes can be contracted orally as well as sexually. Which means that if you had a cold sore and touched it, then touched you vulva, you could pass it.

its really hard to get an std without having any sexual activity but it could be possible. It could be possible if you touched someone that already had an outbreak and you touched yourself. If you touched someone that has an oral outbreak and touched your vulva that is extremely rare to catch..i would def go see a doc and have a test done
