I have hsv1 genitally, I got it from my boyfriend who gave me oral sex, he got coldsores but didn’t have one at the time.
HSV1 more commonly causes oral herpes, when it is genital is it less infectious because it is outside of it’s site of preference on the body. I am only about 1/4 to 1/5 as infectious as someone with oral hsv1 (coldsores)
And yet I find that there is a strong stigma against having it genitally, although physically it is milder than the oral version.
Knowing this, would you be more likely to have intercourse with someone who has genital herpes hsv1 or receive oral from one of the 8/10 people that get coldsores? Bear in mind if you get coldsores you are extremely unlikely to catch it genitally.

1. If the girl has oral herpes can she cause the guy to get genital herpes through oral sex?
2. If the girl and the guy both have the same type of oral herpes for example HSV2, can the guy and girl get genital herpes from oral sex?
3. If the girl and the guy both have different types of oral herpes, can the guy and girl get genital herpes from oral sex?
4. Can you get HSV1 and HSV2?
5. If you have HSV1 oral herpes, can you get HSV2 genital herpes or vice versa?
6. If you are using a condom can you still spread herpes from skin to skin contact?
7. If so many people have oral herpes, how come more people don’t have genital? I think its like 90% to 15%.
8. Is it is still easy to get genital herpes if the person does not have an outbreak?
